The Enhanced Participation and Resiliency of 23 Coastal Communities in Eastern and Northern Samar is a project in partnership with the European Union. The project aims to increase disaster resilience of 23 coastal communities to the effects and impacts of disasters and climate change such as typhoons, extreme precipitation, water surges, sea level rise and sea surface temperature. With enhanced participation and resiliency, damages to livelihoods of men and women fishers will be reduced and will also enable them to access support to recover the losses resulting from the disaster/s and cushion their livelihoods from climate change impacts. The partner CSOs: NGOs and fishers’ organizations need to be members of the DRRM council at barangay and municipal level.
